Introducing Greg Munt

Greg Munt is the Managing Director of the One50group and lives in Coatesville on Auckland’s North Shore. Greg is the Motorcross mad member of the team hence his 5 acre lifestyle block has its own motor cross track! His five year old son Jack also rides under Dad's watchful eye! Greg has held National Titles in both Wakeboarding and Archery along with being placed 10th in the world when he represented NZ for Archery. Greg also enjoys Surfing, Snow Boarding, Motorsport and the gym. The high level of determination and success Greg has in his sporting life is also reflected in his business life and as such has always been recognised as a high achiever.

Greg has been in the financial services business since 1998 and has a broad knowledge of Insurance along with Residential, Commercial, Development and Business finance. After learning the profession with one of NZ’s largest property finance companies Greg quickly became one of the firm’s top advisers. Greg then left the firm and set up his own Company “Mortgage Intelligence” which he grew to having 3 separate offices, a team of brokers and support staff which all proved highly successful. The company was very active within the Property Investment area as this is Greg’s specialist area having owned 12 properties himself. Greg is a finance professional and has twice been nominated for the New Zealand Mortgage Brokers Association “Broker of the Year.”

In 2005 Greg sold his company “Mortgage Intelligence” to a large financial services company and after taking some much needed time off Greg then joined a major Merchant Banking company to further his career in finance. Over this time he gained valuable experience in commercial, development and business funding for a variety of clients from small businesses needing capital for plant to large property developers funding projects worth tens of millions of dollars both here in NZ and internationally.

The re-sale of Greg’s financial services company to a large Insurance Company motivated him to once again establish a new financial services business. The focus of the One50group is to fill a void in the market for Professional Independent advice in the Financial Services industry.

Greg is also the founder of a charitable trust called “One Day One Dream”, which has been established to bring joy to families who have children who are affected by serious illness or disability. This is a current work in progress and you’ll see lots more about this in the near future.
